LOS ANGELES: Janet Jackson has postponed yet another show due to an undisclosed illness.

Jackson, who launched her “Rock Witchu” tour in Vancouver, Canada on September 10, has cancelled several other shows since September 29, when she was rushed to hospital briefly during a sound check in Montreal.

The singer was slated to resume her tour at New York's Turning Stone Resort and Casino on Monday night, but the show was cancelled "due to doctor's orders", according to the casino's website.

An upcoming concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday is also off, bringing the total number of cancelled shows to nine. Her tour was originally scheduled to end in Dallas on October 22.

Jackson’s camp has not disclosed what illness the singer is suffering from, or what she was treated in Montreal for.

“Rock Witchu” is Jackson’s first North American tour in seven years, and it promotes “Discipline”, her most recent album.

Fans need not fret, as tickets will be honoured when the dates of the missed performances are rescheduled.
