Obama girls offered guest role on 'Hannah Montana'

LOS ANGELES : The soon to be "first kids" Sasha and Malia Obama have been invited to guest star on popular Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana" which stars Miley Cyrus.

Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley's father in real life and on the programme, said the show has asked Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, to take part in an episode around April next year.

"We're pleased that Malia and Sasha are fans and, as long as their parents say it's OK, they are invited to the set of `Hannah Montana' and all Disney Channel shows, for a guest role or a visit, anytime," the Disney Channel said in a statement.

"Hannah Montana", in which Miley plays a school girl with a secret life as a pop star, is one of the most popular kids television series in the United States.
