NEW YORK: Fret not "Hannah Montana" fans, Miley Cyrus is not dead.
The words “Miley Cyrus Dead” were the most searched phrase on Google on Sunday after a hacker hacked into the tween actress' account and posted a video allegedly reporting that the "Hannah Montana" star had been killed in a car accident.
The video posted on her YouTube account had a fake message from Cyrus’ best friend, Mandy Jiroux, which said: "Miley died this morning after being hit by a drunk driver. She always told us if anything ever happened to her then tell her loyal fans first before the public. R.I.P Miley, we'll never forget you!"
Jiroux swiftly denied the rumour in her official MySpace page saying: "MILEY IS OK!! Some1 hacked our youtube account."
And if you need more reassurance that Cyrus is still alive, the 16-year-old was at a Los Angeles junket for the Disney animated film "Bolt", in which she voices a 12-year-old TV actress, on Sunday night. "Bolt" hits theatres in Singapore on December 4.
