LONDON: Christina Aguilera could be launching her own fashion range in conjunction with UK high-street retailer Topshop.

Topshop owner Philip Green has asked the pop star to design a new collection for the label.

Aguilera, 28, is expected to receive at least 1 million pounds for the designs should the deal go through. Topshop also sells a collection by British supermodel Kate Moss.

Aguilera's designs will not replace Moss’ and both of the stars will continue to do separate collections.

“Philip loves her style and believes she would add something new to Topshop. Christina is the blond bombshell who is into pop whereas Kate is the rock chick and model. She’d appeal to a younger shopper than Kate,” said a source to Britain’s the Sunday Mirror newspaper.

Moss recently extended her contract with the store for another three years, and revealed she could not wait to start work on her new lines.

"The last two years have been an exciting experience and Topshop has given me the perfect platform to develop my own collection, which is something that I have wanted to do for a long time,” said Moss.
