KUALA LUMPUR : R&B sensation Rihanna has promised to be good for her "Good Girl Gone Bad" show in Malaysia next month but that isn't enough for the country's conservative Islamic party.

The Pan-Malaysian Islamic party (PAS) said Rihanna's outfits are too sexy and have called for the Barbados-born singer to be banned from performing in the Muslim country, adding that her February 13 concert would be an "insult to Asian values".

In addition, PAS which has mounted protests against the United States over its support of Israel, said that concertgoers would also contribute to an outflow of local currency to the United States, and indirectly supporting Israel's war policy.

PAS urged authorities who issue concert permits in Malaysia to reject the organiser's application.

The Malaysian government has strict rules which require female performers to cover up from their shoulders to their knees.

Recent concerts by Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne faced protests by conservative Muslim Malaysians over their immodest dressing. Organisers of the Pussycat Dolls concert were fined 10,000 ringgit or US$3,000 in 2006 for flouting decency regulations.
