LONDON : In a final attempt to revamp his image before he kicks off his highly anticipated tour, Michael Jackson has decided to go under the knife yet again.

The King of Pop, who is set to do 50 shows at The O2 arena in London starting July, has decided that plastic surgery is necessary in order to ensure that he looks his best on stage.

Biographer Ian Halperin, who wrote the book "Unmasked: The Michael Jackson Story", said that the singer is "planning to splash out on revamping his image".

"Michael has consulted some of the world’s best cosmetologists and surgeons in preparation for this comeback," he said, adding that the singer wants to undo some of the damage done by his previous surgeries.

Jackson's camp has denied reports that the singer is planning to undergo the cosmetic procedures.

According to reports, Jackson has undergone more than 50 cosmetic surgeries over the years, and his main concern is fixing his nose. However, Jackson insists that he has only had two nose operations to improve his voice.

Jackson recently announced his comeback tour in London and tickets to his shows later this year were snapped up in less than five hours last week.

Nearly one million tickets were sold and more shows were added, yet thousands of fans were still unable to get their hands on the concert passes. Some of the tickets are reportedly selling on the black market for up to 16,000 pounds for a pair of front row seats.

According to a leaked set list, the singer is set to perform some of his greatest hits which include "Billie Jean", "Thriller" and "Man in the Mirror".
