TAIPEI- Popular host-singer-actor Show Luo is sworn off women - - for now.

Luo became embroiled in a chat-room scandal which took on a life of its own in the entertainment industry after the woman he chatted with went on to reveal details of their conversation to the media.

The huge stir and negative publicity that it has generated has left wary of women.

"Those women who are scheming can be really scary. I rather hang up with guys only in the future," said Luo.

The scandal was further fueled by a magazine story about Luo's relationship with some female models.

It later turned out that the story was untrue and the magazine published an apology on Wednesday, adding that the report was inaccurate, as the details in the story were misguided and unconfirmed.

Upon seeing the apology, Luo reportedly broke out in smiles and even danced around the office lounge.

Despite all the bad publicity, Luo is still a name and face to be reckoned with.

He has just landed advertisements offers from a game developer and a watch company.

The affable artiste even used his own misery to plug the new product, telling his audience: "My little friends, the Internet is laden with dangers and traps. You should turn off your computers or even throw them away.”

"I will be engrossed with the game that I won't have time to go for chat rooms in the future" Luo then went on to add. - CNA/fa
