SINGAPORE: Nicole, Melody, Kimberly and Ashley, better known as the Pussycat Dolls, put up a spectacular performance in Singapore this week as part of their Doll Domination world tour.

The group missed their member Jessica, who's resting at home for her injured back.

They may be known for their sexy outfits, seductive dance moves and infectious sounds. But the Pussycat Dolls lead singer, Nicole Scherzinger did not see herself as sexy when she was growing up.

She said: "When I was growing up, I never thought I'll be part of this group if you saw what I wore and my glasses growing.

“I think you can't try to be sexy. For me, the music is what brings it out in me and so when I'm on stage, a whole another animal comes to life. When people meet me, they are like ‘you’re so quiet’. But when I get on stage, something else happens."

The Pussycat Dolls were in Singapore on June 4 as part of their Doll Domination World Tour 2009, where they charmed the crowd with popular hit singles like "Buttons" and "Take over the world".

They even had a meet-and-greet session at Singapore's Changi Airport, the moment they touched down in Singapore.

When asked if every woman is a Pussycat Doll, Nicole only had one thing to say.

"Every woman is special and unique and inside every women there shines a star and there is a great purpose and a great potential there. It is up to her to be fearless enough in life to go after whatever she wants and not to be afraid of that inner strength, confidence and knowledge," she added.

While most only know her for her clothes and her pop songs, Nicole admits that she has other hidden talents as well.

She added: "I love jogging, I'm a queen jogger and I can sing opera on occasion. I don't really know much opera classical music. I just only know a couple of songs that I've learnt from choir and I love Italian and singing in Italian. There was one song that I really liked and I use it to warm up before shows."

Fans can expect more from the singer soon as she plans to go into the studio after the world tour.

You can catch more of Nicole Scherzinger next Monday on PrimeTime Morning. - CNA/vm
