Killer heels that promise comfort

TORONTO : A revolution occurring in the fashion world will have fashionistas toasting in celebration.

A Canadian company is making killer heels that promise comfort, a word rarely associated with the glamorous yet painful fashion must-have.

The line, aptly named “All Day Heels”, is going toe-to-toe with some of the top sporting brands on comfort.

The sole attraction lies in its heel.

Creator of “All Day Heels” Ron White said, "We will take the sole and we turn it from a leather material into a rubber material. The rubber material gives you more cushioning; it keeps the water out. When you flare the heel, it actually gives a double or triple surface area, so when you stand on the heel, if you think about it, instead of standing on a little pencil tip, it's a wider base."

The official website of “All Day Heels” describes some of the unique features of its shoes such as "arch support, special cushioning materials in the insole (such as NASA created poron or Nike Air technology), special rubber compounds used in the outsole, or heel cushioning, cradles or support."

And the best part is "All Day Heels" do not sacrifice fashion for function.

Its wide range of sleek looking shoes has women weak in the knees, "(the heels are) 100 per cent more comfortable, but still looks good, sexy (and), hot,” raved one customer, “I wear them all day long.”

A pair of heels will set you back between US$280 to around US$600.

However, the boutiques offer some kickbacks. Customers can enjoy foot massages, and have their taste buds tantalised with strawberries and champagne.

Now that's definitely an idea to toast to.
