SINGAPORE: Never let it be said that Singaporeans don't know how to party. With the F1 season, every day is a party day - or night, we should say. But with so many hearty parties, which do you choose?
Lucky for you, we, the cool dudes and dudettes (okay, that's not cool anymore, is it?) of TODAY have trimmed down a fair share of picks where you can ride that disco stick this weekend.
STEREOLAB
Kicking off the pack: Stereolab. No, it's not the '90s dance group. Instead, it's the Official Formula 1 Lounge, the inaugural party that will establish itself as the definitive F1 party in every racing city of the world.
Located at Pan Pacific Singapore, Stereolab and its adjoining bar Stereolounge will be come complete with a red carpet entrance and exclusive areas for the international clientele.
Hosted by Tamara Ecclestone, daughter of F1 head honcho Bernie, Stereolab looks set to be the destination after-party for track stars, drivers and international celebrities.
"We are thrilled that Ms Ecclestone has chosen Singapore and Singapore's newest dance club and bar, Stereolab and Stereolounge, to be the venue for this event," said Ms Lynette Pang, director of entertainment, sports & arts of the Singapore Tourism Board.
Entertainment will be provided by superstar DJ Jean Claude Ades, alongside Stereolab resident DJs Todd Omotani (Canada), Stephen Day (UK) and Singapore's very own spinmeister, Brendon P.
"We're absolutely thrilled to have been hand-picked to be the venue of this highly exclusive event," said Michel Lu, executive director of Stereolab. "It's about time Singapore had a taste of real Grand Prix glamour!"
Stereolab, Sat and Sun. Tickets start from S$500, available at Sistic outlets. Price includes complimentary drinks and gourmet bites. For more information, visit stereolab.sg/F1
