Kamil Haque at the 2004 Athens Games. Haque is the son of one of Singapore's 50 Greatest Athletes, Anwarul Haque.

The crux of the Olympian account occurred in the Archive's Section of the Stadium complex... I got my father to pose next to a picture of Tokyo Games poster. For me, this was truly a touching moment. Seeing my father, who has always been a pretty straight laced man, clearly experiencing an emotional moment was rare as it was heartfelt.

I am in my mid thirties and living in a country (Singapore) that has peace, stability and prosperity! Mr Rajaratnam, was without a doubt, contributed to this wonderful country we are proud to live in today.

I saw a clip of his wife, Piroska Feher's funeral and he wept while blowing kisses to his beloved wife. I felt so sorry that he had been robbed of his most precious soul mate so early. NOW, Mr Rajaratnam will be able to reunite with his love forever in eternity in heaven!

Your memories will linger in us for a long time to come. My mere words can never be able to pen down what you have achieve for us, SINGAPOREANS! I truly salute you SIR. May you rest in absolute peace with us, Singaporeans with you in our thoughts...

Belonging to the younger generation, I might not feel the pain. But my condolences to Mr Rajaratnam's family. Without him, Singapore might not be what it is now.

Though I grew up in the years when Mr Raja had already retired from the politics. However, I know that his contributions to the country is tremendous. Thank you Mr Raja.

It is important that young Singaporeans retain a sense of confidence and optimism, through Singapore history. Americans wax lyrical about American history, but not English history. We should do the same with Singapore history; less Chinese, Indian or Malay history. This is Raja's Way.

...and we are Singapore.
