Kamil Haque at the 2004 Athens Games. Haque is the son of one of Singapore's 50 Greatest Athletes, Anwarul Haque.

The crux of the Olympian account occurred in the Archive's Section of the Stadium complex... I got my father to pose next to a picture of Tokyo Games poster. For me, this was truly a touching moment. Seeing my father, who has always been a pretty straight laced man, clearly experiencing an emotional moment was rare as it was heartfelt.

S.R. Rajaratnam's work has touched Singaporeans in many ways I cannot describe. Singapore of today would not have been made possible if it weren't for him, and a few good men like Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew for example.

Mr. Rajaratnam's passing serves as reminder for us, all the hardships Singapore had gone through, and for all the hardwork our Founding Fathers have done and their commitment to create One People, One Nation, and One Singapore.

I am deeply grateful to our Founding Fathers and I'm proud of them.

I'm proud to be Singaporean, and will always be.

My deepest and heartfelt condelences to Mr. Rajaratnam's family.

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved of our late former Deputy Prime Minister, Mr S Rajaratnam. Though I might not know him personally and had little knowledge about him, but his significant contributions and burning fervor towards nation building has indeed touches the heart of many young Singaporeans just like me. Without his indomitable and undeterred fighting spirit towards nation building. We would not be what we are today. Sir, I would like to thank you for the meaningful pledge that you have written and the multicuturalism society that you have given to us. Though your departure is a great loss to the nation, but your memories and your undaunted fighting spirit, and strong principles will always live in the hearts and minds of all Singaporeans. My salute to you, Sir. May you rest in peace.
