The crux of the Olympian account occurred in the Archive's Section of the Stadium complex... I got my father to pose next to a picture of Tokyo Games poster. For me, this was truly a touching moment. Seeing my father, who has always been a pretty straight laced man, clearly experiencing an emotional moment was rare as it was heartfelt.

Hello,

1) What I dislike to see at MRT stations is when I see fit healthy people rushing to use the lift leaving the the less capable ones like the handicaps, elderlys or baby on prams to wait for the next lift.

Such acts are so inconsiderate and should not be a Singaporan trait.

2) It would be nice if we could cultivate a friendly culture in our society. I've been to few countries abroad for holiday and in some cities strangers greet each other in the street. Initially when I was first greeted by a stranger abroad, I find that rather awkward. But as I see others around me doing the same thing, the feeling is warmth and great. And the goodwill just spreads.

In our land, if a man smiles and greet a strange woman, she would probably think he is interested in her, if it is a girl smiling to a man, he would think she's cheap and making a move. Some may even ponder their whole day wondering if the one who smiles at them that morning was some friend from the past they might have forgotten!

Also why is it that when a promoter greets and smile, we find that tradition welcomed but one step out of the
store and a stranger says hello, we squirmed and wondered why. Which makes me wonder, are smiles just for commercial purposes only ?

Seriously, I think we should have a campaign to embed a friendly culture in our society. Life
is already so stressful, let's cheer it up a little shall we?

What annoys me most in my country Singapore is SPITTING!

It reflects badly on the hygiene and habits of Singaporeans. It is inconsiderate, unhygienic and unsightly.

I hate people when they snatch something or a palce without permission. For example i was playing basketball with my counsin recently when teenagers bigger than me took the basketball court without permission.
