SINGAPORE: Marine group ASL Marine has turned in record net profit of S$60.3 million for the full-year ended June. This was up 49.8 per cent compared to last year.

Revenues rose 26 per cent to a record S$400 million.

The strong performance was due to progressive recognition of more and higher value shipbuilding contracts undertaken.

The group also took on more high-value ship repair and conversion jobs and expanded its fleet for ship chartering.

The group is proposing a final dividend of three cents per share and a special dividend of one cent per share. - CNA/vm
