SINGAPORE: Singapore Exchange (SGX) has appointed Lawrence Ang as the newest member of the Singapore Exchange Appeals Committee and the Catalist Appeals Committee.

His appointment was effective on the first of this month.

The appeals committee is a committee independent of SGX.

It hears appeals against the decisions of SGX's disciplinary committees.

SGX said this ensures a greater level of impartiality and objectivity.

Mr Ang replaces Lim Choo Peng, who was a former member of the two committees. - 938LIVE/vm
