SINGAPORE: Healthcare provider Parkway Holdings said its third quarter net profit doubled to S$32.2 million.

Revenue rose eight per cent to S$259 million.

The better showing comes as Parkway registered growth across all its business segments.

The company said its Singapore hospitals saw an increase in inpatient admissions and net revenue per adjusted patient day.

Its international hospital operations and healthcare services also delivered strong performances.

Parkway said it believes the improvement is an indication of the recovery of the healthcare industry.

But it remains cautious and said it will improve its service offerings and manage costs to ensure consistent growth. - 938LIVE/vm
