AusGroup says subsidiary awarded A$100m contract by BHP Billiton

SINGAPORE: Mainboard-listed AusGroup said on Monday its subsidiary, AGC Industries, has been awarded a A$100 million contract by mining giant BHP Billiton.

The contract is for the structural, mechanical, piping and heavy haulage of Rapid Growth Project 5 at the company's Yandi operation.

AusGroup said the scope of work includes construction of an ore handling plant, stockpile and conveyor systems, fabrication of 2,000 tonnes of conveyor components and transportation of 43 structural modules.

The work will begin in February next year. With this contract, the group's order book stands at A$500 million.
