SGX, GreTai Securities Market to jointly develop capital markets

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Exchange and Taiwan's GreTai Securities Market have agreed to work together to develop their respective capital markets.

Both sides have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to foster greater communication between both exchanges through various areas.

These include staff exchange, training and the sharing of information related to market development.

SGX CEO Hsieh Fu Hua said Taiwan has been an important market for SGX and that the agreement forms the basis for fruitful discussions going forward. - 938LIVE/vm
