SINGAPORE: Asia Pacific Breweries said it will pay a slightly higher price to Dutch brewer Heineken for its acquisition of Indonesia's PT Multi Bintang Indonesia.

In December last year, APB had said it would pay some 2.23 trillion rupiah or about S$337 million for Heineken's stake in Bintang.

ABP now said the price is 2.33 trillion rupiah, or about S$352 million, as the final price is subject to a customary adjustment.

Under the deal, APB will get a 68.5 per cent stake in Bintang.

Completion of the proposed acquisition is scheduled on Wednesday.

APB will also be required to make a mandatory tender offer for the remaining shares in Bintang on the Indonesian Stock Exchange.

The mandatory offer is in accordance with Indonesian regulations. - 938LIVE/vm
