SINGAPORE: Catalist-listed Select Group has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, Texas Chicken, to develop and operate franchised restaurants.

It has signed an agreement with the parent company of US restaurant chain Church's Chicken, based out of Delaware.

The subsidiary will be granted the exclusive development rights to set up franchised restaurants in Singapore, with options to develop and operate similar restaurants in Malaysia and Thailand.

The restaurants will take on the name Texas Chicken, which is the international branding name of the Church's Chicken franchise.

Select Group said the agreement will not have any impact on the firm's earnings for the current financial year. - 938LIVE/vm
