SINGAPORE: Telephone directory publisher Global Yellow Pages said on Thursday that its third quarter net profit dropped 45.8 per cent to S$12.8 million.

The fall in profit comes on the back of a 51.1 per cent decline in revenue to S$24.8 million.

Global Yellow Pages said that the fall in revenue was also impacted by the economic recession.

Going forward, the firm said advertising revenues may continue to be a challenge. But it added that it has taken measures to expand revenue channels and manage costs in order to continue to be profitable.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Global Yellow Pages expects its full-year profit to be reasonably comparable to the previous financial year.
