Singapore stocks end 0.18% lower

SINGAPORE : Stocks in Singapore ended 0.18 per cent lower on Thursday on profit-taking.

Dealers said a report that Greece may go to the International Monetary Fund to help it out of its debt crisis also dampened investor sentiment.

The Straits Times Index ended 5.36 points lower to close at 2,913.94.

Volume was 1.32 billion shares.

Losers led gainers 264 to 187.

Singapore Airlines closed 0.76 per cent lower at S$15.60, Singapore Telecommunications was steady at S$3.20 while CapitaLand was down 0.98 per cent at S$4.06. - CNA/AFP/ms
