SINGAPORE : Catalist-listed Dayen Environmental has been awarded a S$6.55 million contract by national water agency PUB.

Dayen said it will undertake the engineering, procurement and construction works to build a water pumping station with a capacity of 15 million gallons per day within Jurong Water Reclamation Plant.

The contract is part of PUB's plan to extend the industrial water network from Jurong Water Reclamation Plant to Jurong Island, to meet the increasing demand of industries there.

It is scheduled to start this April and is expected to be completed within 14 months from the commencement.

Dayen's chairman Ling Yew Kong said the contract presents another opportunity to strengthen the company's presence in the region.

But it is not expected to have a material impact on the net tangible assets or earnings per share of the company for the financial year ending September 30. - CNA/ms
