Keppel FELS delivers rig 43 days ahead of schedule

SINGAPORE: Keppel FELS, a unit of Keppel Offshore & Marine, has delivered a semisubmersible rig to Floatel International, 43 days ahead of schedule and within budget.

Keppel FELS said the vessel, Floatel Superior, will depart Singapore shortly for Bayu Undan in the Timor Sea to commence its charter contract for ConocoPhillips Australia.

Meanwhile, Keppel FELS said the construction of Floatel's second rig, Floatel Reliance, is progressing well.

It added that the vessel is on track for delivery in the second half of this year. - CNA/vm
