SINGAPORE : Sembcorp has signed two new agreements to further expand in Shenyang, China.

The first framework agreement will see Sembcorp providing expertise in areas like wastewater treatment and district heating services to industrial and municipal customers in Shenbei district.

Sembcorp signed the agreement with the Shenbei New District municipal government.

The other agreement with Shenyang Water Group will explore a possible joint venture to operate and manage the Chinese company's water assets serving municipal customers in Shenyang.

These collaborations will help to strengthen Sembcorp's existing presence in Shenyang.

Sembcorp operates its water and wastewater treatment business in 12 sites across nine provinces in China.

The signing of the agreements was done on the sidelines of the 5th Singapore-Liaoning Economic and Trade Council Meeting held in China from August 30 to September 2.
