Osim posts Q4 net profit of $17.06m

SINGAPORE : Massage chair maker Osim International recorded a 0.8 percent on-year rise in fourth quarter net profit to $17.06 million.

In the same quarter ended December 31, Osim's revenue increased 7.6 percent from the previous year to $142.68 million.

The increase in revenue was attributed to sales driven by the launch of new innovative products such as leg massager uPhoria and uDivine chairs.

In China, the company presently has 272 Osim outlets in 47 cities.

Osim is targeting a net increase of 50 more outlets in China as the company continues to enjoy strong sales there.

Earning per share for the fourth quarter stood at 2.30 cents, down from 2.31 cents in the previous year.

For the full year, net profit rose 38 percent to $69.1 million and revenue rose about 9 percent to S$553.7 million from the previous year.

The company has proposed a final dividend of one cent per share.
