Banyan Tree signs contracts to manage 3 new hotels in China

SINGAPORE : Banyan Tree Holdings has signed contracts to manage three new hotels in China.

Two of the hotels are in Beijing, while the third is in Hangzhou in central China.

The luxury resort and spa developer will design and manage the Banyan Tree Beijing, which will have 216 all-suite hotel and serviced apartments.

This is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2009.

Banyan Tree will also manage the 80-room Angsana Beijing, which will be part of a high-end retail, entertainment and hospitality project.

This is expected to open next year.

Banyan Tree Hangzhou is an all villa resort condominium project, which is expected to open in early 2009. - CNA/ms
