SINGAPORE : SIA Engineering has posted a 4.8 percent rise in full-year net profit to S$253.8 million.

Revenue climbed 3.3 percent to S$1.0096 billion, breaching the S$1 billion mark for the first time ever.

SIA Engineering said it expects additional hangar capacity this year to benefit its heavy maintenance operations in Singapore.

However, it also warned that prevailing global economic uncertainties, increasing competition and the weaker US dollar will continue to weigh on the group's performance going forward.

SIA Engineering is proposing a final ordinary dividend of 16 cents per share. This brings its total dividend payment for the year to 20 cents per share. - CNA/ms
