SINGAPORE: ASL Shipyard has secured two contracts worth S$101 million for shipbuilding and fabrication.

The shipbuilding contract is secured from a long-term customer, and work is expected to be completed in 2011.

The second contract for fabrication, outfitting and reinstatement work on a heavy transport vessel is expected to be completed in August 2009.

The two contracts are not expected to have any material financial impact on the consolidated net tangible asset and earnings per share of the group for the financial year ending 30 June 2009.
