SINGAPORE: Nasdaq-listed Marvell Technology has opened a S$54 million centre in Singapore to house its regional headquarters.

The 10,000 square metre facility will also be home to Marvell's support functions, such as design, sales and technical support.

The company provides storage, communications and consumer silicon solutions.

Marvell said it chose Singapore for its regional headquarters because of its status as a globally connected hub with outstanding infrastructure.

The US-based company now hires about 200 staff in Singapore.

Besides Singapore, Marvell also has operations in Malaysia, China, Japan, Taiwan and India. - CNA/vm
