SINGAPORE : ST Marine, a unit of ST Engineering, has won a contract to design and build a seismic survey vessel for Swire Pacific.

The deal is valued at S$30 million.

Construction is expected to start in May next year, and delivery is planned for the second half of 2010.

Seismic survey vessels are widely used in offshore oil and gas exploration.

This contract is not expected to have any material impact on ST Engineering's earnings for the current financial year. - CNA/ms
