SINGAPORE : Companies in Singapore have formed six consortium groups to scout for overseas projects together.

They have already received requests for quotations worth some S$60 million.

Four of these groups signed agreements to formalise their consortium tie-ups on Tuesday.

They are targeting fields such as automotive sensors, optics and car seats.

The groups have come together under IE Singapore's iPartners Programme.

This programme encourages companies in related industries to form groupings to create economies of scale when seeking out overseas projects. - 938LIVE
