Seagate Technology appoints Stephen Luczo as president & CEO

SINGAPORE: Seagate Technology has appointed Stephen Luczo as its president and chief executive officer.

He will take over William Watkins as CEO with immediate effect and will also continue to serve as chairman of Seagate's board.

According to Seagate, Mr Watkins' role, if any, will be determined over the next week.

Mr Luczo joined Seagate in 1993 and previously served as CEO of Seagate's predecessor, Seagate Technology, from 1998 to 2004.

The move precedes Seagate's fiscal second quarter earnings' report next week. - CNA/vm
