SINGAPORE: The Singapore Manufacturers' Federation (SMa) and A*Star's Exploit Technologies have signed an agreement to help start-ups amid tough economic conditions.

The collaboration will be set up under the Exploit Technologies Angel Investment Management Initiative (AIM).

It will give start-ups greater access to angel investors through networking activities and also updates on technology developments in Singapore.

Exploit Technologies said the agreement will help SMa members adopt leading edge technologies to either upgrade their current business operations or venture into new business areas.

The SMa added that the pact will serve as a platform for local manufacturers to share industry knowledge and expertise with start-ups. - CNA/vm
