SINGAPORE: Keppel Singmarine says it has completed and delivered a rescue vessel to Russia's Lukoil on time.

Keppel Singmarine is the specialised shipbuilding arm of Keppel Offshore & Marine.

The 60-tonne vessel will be deployed in the Caspian Sea, to perform supply duty and rescue operations in the region, where temperatures can dip to minus 20 degrees Celsius and ice can grow up to 70 centimetres thick.

Lukoil has been a client of Keppel's for the last four years and has ordered several different types of vessels from the company.
