SINGAPORE : More formalised training is available for those working in the biomedical manufacturing industry.

A Higher Certificate in Process Technology for Biologics Manufacturing and Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing has been developed for the industry.

The higher certificate under the Workforce Skills Qualifications framework was developed by the Workforce Development Agency (WDA).

WDA had collaborated with Singapore Polytechnic, Millipore Singapore and DPS Engineering in developing the course.

The partners formally sealed their collaboration with the inking of the Memorandum of Cooperation on Tuesday to provide full certification training, strengthen good working ties and facilitate the sharing of resources.

In conjunction with the signing of the memorandum of cooperation, Singapore Polytechnic also launched its Professional and Adult Continuing Education Academy.

Previously known as the Department of Continuing Education, the Academy is set up to increase the polytechnic's training capacity.
