SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will visit Washington DC and San Francisco from May 2-8.
In the first part of his visit to Washington DC, Mr Lee will meet US President George Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney.
He is also expected to meet Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.
Mr Lee will also deliver a keynote address at the Asia Society-US ASEAN Business Council Gala Dinner.
This is to commemorate the 40th anniversary of ASEAN's founding and 30 years of ASEAN-US relations.
During his second leg in San Francisco, PM Lee will meet private sector leaders in industries like energy and electronics.
Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo and Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Lee Yi Shyan are among those accompanying Mr Lee.
Mr Lee last visited the US in 2005. - CNA/ir
