SINGAPORE: A set of top-notch robots called NUbots has arrived in Singapore after coming in second at the world championships for the four-legged robotics soccer league in Atlanta earlier this month.
The championship, known as Robocup, is an international research and education initiative that aims to develop a team of robots that can beat the world's champion human soccer team.
One of the 24 teams to compete in the top level, the NUbots went down 1-5 against a US team - called The Northern Bites - in the finals.
The NUbots hail from Australia's University of Newcastle – a partner university of Singapore's PSB Academy.
And from Saturday, 28 July, members of the public can view these soccer robots at the Academy.
