SINGAPORE: World number nine Choi Kyung-ju will be playing in the Barclays Singapore Open in November.
This means there will be five of the world's top 10 players teeing off at the Sentosa Golf Club.
The prize money of US$4 million makes this tournament Asia's richest national open.
Choi is widely recognised as the most successful South Korean male golfer.
He is the only Asian to represent the International team at the prestigious President's Cup tournament later this month in Canada.
The 37-year-old is also the first Korean to earn a PGA Tour card.
He is notably the most successful Asian player on the US PGA Tour, having amassed a total of six PGA Tour wins to date. - CNA/ir
