SINGAPORE : A team from the NUS Law School has won the 6th Red Cross International Law Moot held in Hong Kong from March 7-8.

This is the second time that a Singapore team has won the competition. The last was in 2004.

This time, the Singapore team of third-year student Lim Ching Wen and final-year student Chan Yong Wei were pitted against law students from 16 participating universities from 13 Asia Pacific countries.

Ms Lim was also the runner-up to the Best Mooter award.

The Singapore Red Cross is responsible for promoting International Humanitarian Law awareness in Singapore. It has been supporting the NUS team in this competition. - CNA /ls
