SINGAPORE: Police are looking for two Chinese men who were involved in an armed robbery on Tuesday.
They escaped with S$50,000 after they got their victim to withdraw the money from a bank at Hougang Central.
The police said the victim - a woman in her 60s - was getting out of her car in the driveway of her house off Braddell Road, when a man confronted her with a knife. Her three-year-old granddaughter and domestic helper were in the rear seat.
The man then got in the back seat and made the victim drive to Hougang Central. A second man joined them while they were on their way to the bank.
The victim was then made to withdraw the money from the bank. The robbers later fled in the direction of Block 850A at about 1.30pm.
The police said the first man is slim-built, about 1.7 metres tall, between 30 and 40 years old and has a tanned complexion. He was wearing a black jacket with a pair of dark coloured pants and a navy blue baseball cap.
The second suspect is aged between 40 and 50 years old. He was last seen in a shirt with black and white horizontal stripes and dark coloured pants.
