SINGAPORE : President SR Nathan will make a state visit to New Zealand from April 25 to May 1.

This is the first state visit by a Singapore head of state to New Zealand. President Nathan will visit Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland.

In Wellington, he will meet senior New Zealand leaders including Prime Minister Helen Clark, Governor-General Anand Satyanand and Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Bill English.

The president will be accompanied by Mrs Nathan, National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan and Mrs Mah, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Balaji Sadasivan and Mrs Sadasivan, Members of Parliament Penny Low and Dr Muhammad Faishal, as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. - CNA /ls
