SINGAPORE: Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo concluded an official visit to Madhya Pradesh, India on Thursday.

He was also in New Delhi for the first India-Singapore Joint Ministerial Committee meeting.

The visit was a follow-up on Madhya Pradesh chief minister's visit to Singapore in December 2006.

While in Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh, Mr Yeo met Chief Minister Chouhan and discussed increasing economic linkages between Singapore and Madhya Pradesh.

Mr Yeo also invited the chief minister to send a business delegation to Singapore. He was also briefed about where Madhya Pradesh is heading economically.

Mr Yeo also met several businessmen and industrialists in Madhya Pradesh. -CNA/vm
