SINGAPORE : Education Minister Dr Ng Eng Hen said National Junior College's (NJC) six-year Integrated Programme will better prepare students to meet the challenges of an increasingly connected world.

Speaking at his alma mater's 39th College Day, Dr Ng said students will have more time, space and resources to prepare under the programme.

NJC's IP programme will be expanded from four to six years next year, and offered to students from Secondary One.

Dr Ng also launched the college's new performing arts theatre. It was built thanks to a S$500,000 donation from the Ngee Ann Kongsi.

He said the theatre will allow students to aspire towards higher standards of performance and find new ways of expressions in dance and music. - CNA /ls
