SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday said no Singaporean has been reported injured or killed in Myanmar in the wake of Cyclone Nargis.
The country's embassy in Yangon is keeping close contact with Singapore citizens in Myanmar.
According to Ambassador Robert Chua, most of the requests for help so far have come from temporary visitors such as travelling businessmen.
Clean-up efforts, he said, are underway, with some wet markets and supermarkets in Yangon already open for business.
