SINGAPORE: S$476,926 has been raised by various organisations collecting funds for victims of Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar.
They include The Singapore Red Cross, Mercy Relief, World Vision and The Salvation Army.

Red cross raised S$216,926; Mercy Relief S$130,000, The Salvation Army S$60,000; World Vision S$70,000.
Also collecting money for their countrymen are Myanmar nationals in Singapore. Many gathered for prayers the Mingala Vihara Temple in Eunos on Saturday.
Another ceremony will take place at the Burmese Buddhist Temple off Balestier Road on Sunday morning. - CNA/vm
