SINGAPORE: A group of 15 women bravely shaved off their luscious hair on Sunday for the sake of charity.
In support of children with cancer, these women have raised some S$100,000 so far.
Last year, this 'Shear Inspiration' event raised about S$320,000 for the Children's Cancer Foundation. The money was used to build two new bone marrow rooms at the KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
To help raise more money, the public could log on to the foundation's website.
Sabrina Kuah, one of the women who shaved her head for charity, said: "For us, it's about the kids – they're the heroes. They've battled through a couple of years of treatment. The family really needs to rally around (them)."
