SINGAPORE : The second tranche of the Singapore government's contribution of US$200,000 worth of humanitarian assistance package was delivered to the Chinese authorities on Monday.

This was delivered by Singapore's Consul in Chengdu, Lim Meng Hui.

The package, which comprised dried food, tents and water purification tablets, was delivered to Chengdu via a SilkAir flight.

SilkAir has waived freight charges of such humanitarian packages to China. - CNA/ms
