SINGAPORE: One of the world's fastest sailing frigates, the Russian Pallada, made a stopover in Singapore on Wednesday as part of its global tour.

The 19-year-old vessel is on a nine-month trip around the world.

Its itinerary covers the route taken by Russian sailors in the 18th century.

A group of Singapore students specialising in Nautical Studies also got a chance to sail with the ship.

The Pallada will remain in Singapore till Sunday. - CNA/vm
