SINGAPORE : A group of eight young Swedish artists are showcasing their works in Singapore.
Called Swedish Cliches, the exhibition gives a peek into the country's culture. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, the artists' works are a smorgasbord of Swedish content.
Exhibiting their works in Asia for the first time, the artists are also keen to learn from other cultures.
"When it comes to the Asian expression, you tend to be much more expressive. You dare to use much more colours, there are distinct lines and not as minimalistic as the traditional Swedish expression. So I've tried to explore those techniques that you can find here," said artist Marcus Johnsson.
The exhibition is on till July 19 at the Front Row gallery at Ann Siang Road. - CNA /ls
